Traditional Acupuncture
Oriental Therapies

Melissa is a fully qualified Acupuncturist, registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Victoria, and the British Acupuncture Council. She completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in England, at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Melissa also has a Bachelor of Arts, and has undergone training in reiki, meditation, energetic and shamanic healing, and Zen shiatsu.

In London, Melissa trained and practiced in a number of acupuncture techniques not widely available in Melbourne. These methods bring us into awareness of our true destiny by utilising the philosophies of Taoism, the five elements, and meridian therapy. The benefit of these approaches is that they focus on each individual's unique healing journey, looking beyond the surface symptoms to consider deeper spiritual and constitutional patterns. Melissa has an abiding interest in the profound transformative power of Chinese Medicine, and she aims to help each patient come into an awareness of their highest potential.

As a mother of two small boys, Melissa has an interest in treating children and young people. She believes that the gentle and effective techniques of Chinese Medicine acupuncture and massage can bring great health and happiness to children. Along with paediatrics, she has had success in treating anxiety and depression, insomnia and digestive complaints, arthritis, dermatology and body pain.

With a background in Western philosophy, psychology, law and science, Melissa is able to utilise the most current scientific knowledge in her field, whilst also tapping into the insights of her own spiritual practice. Melissa strongly believes that by shining the light of awareness onto our physical and emotional states of dis-ease, we can gain both great physical relief and great intuition into our own core purpose. Melissa has a truly holistic practice, integrating the vast resources of Eastern and Western wisdom, understanding and practice.
