"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."
- Lao Tzu
Wind and Water are natural forces that demonstrate powerful and harmonious flow in nature.
The wind can be harnessed and directed, but not stopped or contained. Water is one of the most powerful forces in our natural ecosystem. An obstacle placed in its path poses no concern – water effortlessly redirects around or through. So too should your health be strong, harmonious and flexible: easily adapting to different foods, relationships, activities and changing circumstances.
Although Wind and Water are gentle and flowing concepts, they are also immensely powerful. The flow of wind and water in nature can be extreme. Given enough time, water can erode mountains and carve through stone. With enough force, winds can rip up trees and flatten houses. So too should your health be strong and flourishing, bearing up to bacterial and viral exposure, withstanding seasonal change, the challenges of life experience and vigorous physical activities.
These principles of flow are universal - also applying to our natural environment. In the Chinese language, Wind Water translates as Feng Shui — better known as the traditional practice which allows us to evaluate and harmonize the flow of qi through our homes, gardens and cities. The qi that flows through our bodies is the same as the qi that circulates through our environment. Qi connects us to each other and to everything around us. It is no surprise that our surrounding community and environment can profoundly influence our health, mood and energy levels, and vice versa. Good health is bigger than one person, your personal health holds the potential of a powerful positive contribution to your community and the environment. When you are wholly well, so many things are possible for you and for others.
Let us grow in health together, so we can better support each other and our beautiful planet.
The health of our beautiful planet is integral to my health and yours.
